I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
